Ties

How are our ties made?

1. Fabric Selection

This is the first step and one of the most important to achieve not only premium fabric quality, but also a wide variety of designs and colors. This process is carried out directly with our associated fabric printing workshop in the United Kingdom.

2. Reception and cutting

The cutting process is the first step in the handmade tie production chain. Massimo is in charge of receiving and cutting the fabric in his workshop in Florence, Italy. This cut is made according to the pattern specifications. Our unique tie model is a three-fold tie with dimensions of 8.5 cm x 148 cm or 9 cm x 148 cm.

3. Assembly

After cutting, the tie is made up of three parts that are machine-sewn together by Mrs. Giovanna. This seam gives the tie the necessary strength to withstand the tension of a tightly-tied knot.

4. Folded

After the "handrolling," the two thin interlining layers are placed, and the pleats are made. This interlining provides the necessary body, drape, and resilience for the tie. Then, the pleats are joined to complete the hand-finishing of the tie.
